Lauren Johnson

The best thing that has happened to me this year is Lauren Johnson. When everything else is going haywire she is my escape. I am with her almost always and she is close to one of the only true friends i have right now. When she is gone or cant hang out i pretty much have nothing to do.

I ve never ever had as many inside jokes as i do with this girl. The pictures she makes me are the cutest ever and i like to hang them all over my room.
Shes probably the only person i pass notes with besides breea. We have a notebook we write in and give to each other in between classes and i love it. we draw cute pictures in it and tell eachother about our days.
Lauren is one of the goofiest girls i know. She is like me in so many ways. We always laugh at the dumbest things. We tell eachother if something is bothering us about the other. When we ask eachother how we look we tell the truth. and if either of us looks ugly we will say so. its awesome to know someone's honest opionion.
We are close close close with eachother's families. I love going over to her house and i'm there so much i feel like part of the family.

weekends
with her are the best. She comes over after school and we watch movies and she eats all my food. especially the ohs cereal and the lucky charms.

if her parents let her she sleeps over and we stay up til 4 talking. thats about when we start bugging eachother real bad.

i'll never forget the sleepover when we figured out we could set the camera to take the pictures on a timer

and we would run into eachother trying to get in front of the camera before it took the picture

when we wake up we usually have to go over to laurens house and watch kaitlyn for the day unless we are lucky and she found somewhere to go. so we ride the pink scooter over or something.
then at her house we watch movies, lay on the tramp or listen to music. and we clean, usually i do dishes if someone already hasnt and then Lauren and Kaitlyn do thier room and whatever else needs done.

and i eat all thier food

Sometimes she gets to come over during the week.
and we do scrapbook stuff in my room. i make one really cute page in the time she makes about twenty random pages covered in cut outs and wierd phrases.
then she hangs them all over my room and tanner's room.

we have quote books that we write in and print out quotes to glue in them.

like the sleep overs we had last summer that were super crazy

Just the other day Lauren's dad forgot it was his day to pick up after track so we walked off capmus and down this street and just sat on the sidewalk listening to music. it was so awesome

Camping triprs with her are absolutely amazing

I love the places we go with her family

like to the easter pageant when we sang in the car all the way there and back.

or to the car wash where we all scream real loud

or the grocery store where we pass the toilet paper down the aisle
or getting up really early to go to kaitlyn's soccer games

or to los favoritos where we get gumballs out of the pinball machine

or on girls nights out with her sister and her mom when we get the "all you can eat soup salad and breadsticks" at olive garden and forget to give the guy our keys at the car wash

or shopping when we go to oldnavy after its been closed for a couple minutes but laurens mom convinces them to let us shop for a little bit.

or just sitting at home watching CSI or " Enchanted "
or dancing around in the living room really wierd with the music blasting.

8th grade

8th Grade.
this year has been okay, but definantly not my best. its the first year in pretty much the history of ever that i have been around so much drama. some kids are really really stupid with what they are doing to their lives and sometimes i feel like i stand alone. The best thing that has come out of this year is knowledge and new friendships. i am going to miss the teachers at payne and some of the kids that are going to perry next year. but i am excited for high school. i hope it will bring new opportunities and new friends.

My name is Dexi Bo McDowell, a new blogger, thanks to the encouragement of Breea Guttery.

Heres the just on me:
You dont have to like me or be my friend but it would be nice if you just let me be me.
I am my first priority. I want to do everything i can to become the best person i can be, mentally, physically and spiritually. My family, good friends, church, school, music and sports are to be whats important to me.
I am starting to think higer of myself and appreciate myself. I am smart and talented, and now i just want to live to my full potential.

I set my standards high. In my opinion, you can have fun without getting in trouble and doing stupid stuff.
i dont and wont smoke, or drink. its just not my thing. if you want to thats your desicion.
I really dont like it when kids are disrespectful to adults. You have a right to your opinion, but there are respectful ways to express yourself.
I respect my parents and i expect my friends to also.
I'm mormon. Its a religion, not a book of rules. We have agency just like anyone else in the world. I love the church. The standards i follow are standards i believe in and love following, not standards that i am forced into
I realize we live in a cruel world. i'm not too nieve. and frankly i think i'm pretty down to earth.

I dont "hate" people, no matter who they are, I never intentionally hurt people's feelings and i'm not trying to impress anyone, I'm just trying to be the best me i can be.
